Biography

Kim Hiorthøy was born in Trondheim in 1973 and lives and works in Oslo, Norway and Brussels, Belgium, but no longer in Berlin. 

 

Kim does almost everything. He is an artist, author, cinematographer, choreographer, dancer, film director, children’s book illustrator, graphic designer, musician, et al. He has designed countless record covers, posters and book jackets. 

 

His first full-length feature film, a melancholic comedy about ordinary life, “Rules for Everything” can be loaned from Deichman on both DVD and Blu-ray. 

 

Kim’s second book– entitled “Knivtid (which is not entirely a novel) was published by Oktober Forlag, Oslo in September 2022. 

 

He holds the record for longest artist on the Norwegian record label, Smalltown Supersound.
