STOFFE

Known for her love of cloth in her artistic career, 'Stoffe' is Isabella Ducrot's tribute to textiles, as well as a catalogue of her personal collection of fabrics obtained during her extensive travels in Asia. These antique textiles originate primarily from Turkey, India, China, Tibet, and Afghanistan. The Italian artist is fascinated by their structure, and draws inspiration from the weft of these fabrics. This book includes her own stories of her acquisitions, and texts by Claire de Virieu, Guilia Putaturo, as all as celebrated Italian poet Patricia Cavalli. Her other publications include 'La matassa primordiale', 'Text on Textile', 'Women's Life', and 'Twenty-Two Places of the Soul' to name a few.
