Shikh Sabbir Alam was born in 1982 in Kushtia, Bangladesh, where he still lives and works. Sabbir completed his master's degree at the Oslo Academy of Fine arts (KHiO). The paintings in this exhibition initially made their appearance in the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, "In Our Veins Flow Ink and Fire", in Kerala, India, earlier this year.
